Meet the McLeods

Our family of five decided to step away from everyday life to explore and adventure for a year.  With a car load of clothes, books and camping gear we hit the road in early September.  Our adventures are just beginning,  join us for the ride as we live life on the road, homeschool our kids and travel throughout the United States.

Lennox

I’m four and full of energy.  I love doing anything to keep my family on their toes.  I’m sneaky, mischievous and love to make people laugh.  I’m a nature lover, aspiring mountain climber and will jump off anything, the higher the better.

Sienna

I’m seven and unstoppable!  I run fast, play hard and don’t let anything get in my way.  Some people call me an animal whisperer, I love animals and they love me.  I want a horse, some cats, and a great dane and I promise I will take care of them all.

Colette McLeod

I’m the nine year old going on 13.  I’m practically made of sugar, I love candy of any kind (and I’m pretty nice too)  I have a scream that can damage your hearing, which is most likely to appear when I encounter a spider.  I love make-up,  gymnastics and being funny.  I also am working on perfecting my British accent, while pretending to be Hermione Granger.

Katie McLeod  aka (MOM, MOM, MOM)

I’m the MOM, the one trying to answer 72 million questions and needs each day, while guiding these wild ones on their journey of lassoing the world in their own way.  In my spare time I’m an artist, give me paint, ink, fabric, a camera, anything I can create with and I will be happy.  I love water, traveling, cooking, laughing and try to make each day a bright one.

Matt McLeod aka (Big Papa)

Sometimes known as nerd dad, crazy dad, annoying dad, grumpy dad, but most often known to my family as fun dad. I love adventure and finding thrills in life. I can relax with the beauty of a majestic mountain vista or get knee deep in techy stuff. I’m a firm believer in balance and all things in moderation. (maybe a little excess!) Life presents you a series opportunities and the challenge is noticing them and then having the courage to act.
